One of the major factors behind the popularity of PC gaming is the superior performance and visual fidelity, which you can't always get even on modern consoles. Thanks to more powerful graphics cards and CPUs, a gaming PC can deliver fantastic visuals while maintaining high framerates in today's best PC games.
This experience is further enhanced if you have a great OLED gaming monitor. Due to per-pixel dimming, OLED monitors are capable of inky blacks, true HDR, and near-instantaneous response time. You can undoubtedly enjoy the OLED experience on your console, but the fluid gameplay delivered by a gaming PC takes things to another level. Of course, you need a powerful setup to enjoy these 10 amazing PC games in all their glory on your OLED monitor.
The only 10 games that can justify the ray tracing tax
Ray tracing comes with heavy financial and performance overheads. Here are the only titles that make it all worth it.

The game's visuals are one of its other highlights, enhancing immersion and allowing players to make full use of their high-end displays, especially OLED monitors. If you enjoy getting into hours of engaging fun with friends online, Destiny 2 is one of the best and most visually impressive games to experience.

The force is strong with an OLED
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order might be slightly older now that players have the option of enjoying the sequel, but that doesn't take away from the graphical powerhouse that it was. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the story, gameplay, and characters were equally memorable. After a long time, fans of the series could enjoy a well-made Star Wars game.
The game's HDR is ideal for flexing your OLED monitor's capabilities, especially when you are going toe-to-toe with enemies in lightsaber combat in dark locales. Killing monsters in real HDR
Doom Eternal takes the quintessential chaos and gore of 2016's Doom and dials it up to 11. It delivers on all fronts β brutally satisfying takedowns, hype-enhancing weapons, and varied environments to show off your skills. The cherry on the cake is that the game is, once again, highly optimized, and can run on almost any relatively modern gaming PC.
What it also does well is render all of its mayhem in glorious lighting, reflections, and textures. Even without an OLED monitor, Doom Eternal is a must-play for fans of beautiful action games, but an OLED display certainly enhances the experience.

10 amazing games you can play with a modest GPU
Some of the greatest PC games from the recent past can be played on a low-end graphics card
2 Cyberpunk 2077 (2020)
OLED chooms for life
Perhaps there is no other game on this list that makes a stronger case for an OLED display. Cyberpunk 2077 was already a next-gen visual masterpiece before CD Projekt Red brought path tracing, also known as full ray racing, to the game. We've seen other titles like Alan Wake 2 utilize the same tech since, but Cyberpunk 2077's Night City is a novel experience.
Never before had gamers seen ray tracing implemented to this degree, and path tracing took things to the next level, allowing gamers to experience even more realistic shadows, reflections, and lighting. It does take a lot of GPU horsepower to play the game at maximum settings, but if you have an OLED monitor, I'm guessing your PC is up to the task.
Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps one of the few games that makes the performance overhead of ray tracing worth it. With the path tracing mode enabled, you're sure to enjoy Night City in all its glory, whether it's day or night.
1 Dead Space (2023)
Muffle your screams with glorious HDR
2023's Dead Space set out to bring a classic fan favorite to newer audiences and loyal fans alike. The 2008 game revolutionized the survival horror genre in more ways than one, terrifying and impressing players at the same time. It was one of the first games I played after upgrading my PC's graphics card back in 2010.
Dead Space was the ideal candidate for a remaster, as it was novel yet simple in its ideas and visual style, compared to the sequels. What we got in 2023 was a near-perfect reimagining of Visceral Games' original masterpiece, complete with ironed-out kinks and quality-of-life improvements. Even without much ray tracing, this game is shockingly good-looking, and your OLED monitor is the definitive way to enjoy it.
Dead Space (2023)
The Dead Space remake brings graphical improvements to the 2008 horror classic, refreshing the horrid memories and psychological scares for old and new audiences alike.
OLED gaming is expensive, but some games make it worth it
Buying an OLED gaming monitor is still not easy for most gamers, as prices haven't fallen to the levels where you'd call them affordable. However, if your budget has room to accommodate one but you're on the fence about it, I highly recommend you grab a decent OLED display. Your monitor can have a much bigger impact on your gaming experience than upgrading your graphics card for a few extra frames (that is, if you already have a great card).
There is no dearth of titles that support HDR gaming, and an OLED monitor is necessary to experience true HDR. The games I've listed above are a mix of my personal favorites and those that took gaming visuals to new heights, but you can find many others that are equally impressive.
