We've all been there before, we're trying to find something different when shopping for a new mouse, and we end up grabbing something that just doesn't really work for daily use. While the most basic mice will let you point, click, and navigate — a specialized mouse can potentially elevate that experience, while also ensuring your arm and wrist health stays at its peak.

Now, an ergonomic mouse is probably going to be your best bet, blending traditional navigation techniques with a new shape. However, some people prefer to go with a trackball mouse. The trackball mouse has been around for decades at this point, and does take some getting used to because it works differently when compared to a traditional mouse.

As you can probably see, this mouse has a huge ball attached to it. And as you can probably guess, this is the main way you interact with a trackball mouse. Rather than having your hand and wrist do the heavy lifting when it comes to mouse movements, this mouse relies on your thumb moving the trackball around, which in turn moves the cursor on the screen.

It's simple and easy to use, but as stated before, it does take some getting used to. And we wouldn't really recommend it for gaming. In addition, you get ample support for your wrist, and there are plenty of buttons to work with when it comes to navigation. On top of all of this, Logitech states that this can reduce muscle strain by up to 25%.

However, we'd have to say that it's best to give it a try to see how much things change for you. When it comes to connectivity, you're looking at Bluetooth or using the included Bolt USB receiver. The latter will provide a better connection since it uses a 2.4Ghz signal. And when it comes to battery life, you can expect up to 18 months using an AA battery.

For the most part, there's a lot to love here about this mouse. Again, it's not going to be for everyone, but for just $40, we think it's well worth experimenting with if you've never tried one.
