A year ago, it seemed like smart glasses were really poised to take over the market. However, it's now the start of 2026 and not much has really changed. People still aren't picking these things up despite them advancing in technology and offering more and more reasons to ditch a traditional monitor.

Now, I get it, they can't always complete one-to-one with a gaming monitor, but some of the higher-end models can get really close. The XREAL One Pro AR glasses are one such model, delivering fantastic visuals with colors that pop, and impressive performance with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time.

The details matter

The XREAL One Pro AR glasses deliver a spatial screen that can span up to 171 inches and provide an expansive 57-degree field-of-view. This means that what you see will be immersive, and the visuals will look crisp, bright and vibrant thanks to the Micro-OLED displays.

The glasses are built with comfort in mind, and can also be adjusted to fit a range of different IPDs. Although the glasses have a 3DoF by default, the glasses can be upgraded to 6DoF with the XREAL Eye accessory. The glasses also feature sound tuned by Bose.

For the most part, this is all top-end stuff when it comes to smart glasses, and while we have yet to get our hands on these, the reviews are pretty positive. The best part about this set up is that it's easy to connect, with just a single USB-C cable to the source.

However, depending on the product, you may need an adapter to convert the connection to HDMI. Now, when it comes to the price, you're looking at a hefty $170 discount right now that knocks it down to $599.

This isn't cheap by any means, but it's one of the better prices that we've seen for these glasses. If you're someone that's been looking for a monitor alternative, the XREAL One Pro AR glasses might be for you.
