Logitech is coming up on 20 years of making PC gaming keyboards, and the company shows no signs of slowing. The Logitech Pro X TKL Rapid is the latest in the company's "Pro" line of keyboards and its most recent TKL gaming-focused model. In a market where features like rapid triggerand customizable actuation has become par for the course in $150+ PC gaming keyboards.

Logitech G515 Lightspeed TKL review: A premium-feeling gaming keyboard
The Logitech G515 Lightspeed TKL is affordable, feels excellent when typing, and is one of the most comfortable gaming keyboards I've used
I spent the last month gaming, working, and creating on the Pro X TKL Rapid, and I'm eager to share where I think this is Logitech at its best and where I feel the keyboard fell short.
About this review: Logitech sent me the PRO X TKL RAPID for the purposes of this review. The company had no input into its contents.
Pricing, availability, and specs
Let's get this out of the way from the jump and clarify that the Logitech Pro X TKL Rapid is not a mechanical keyboard, as it features magnetic analog switches that use Hall effect sensors to detect changes in the magnetic field. This is a wired keyboard, connected to your PC via its singular USB-C port. It supports features like rapid trigger and adjustable actuation points, which I'll dive into more later. The keyboard retails for $170 and is available from Amazon, Best Buy, and directly from Logitech, as well as other PC parts retailers.

What's good about the PRO X TKL Rapid?
Reliable and customizable performance
The Logitech Pro X TKL Rapid was an absolute joy to game on. Each keystroke is extremely smooth, and I found the subtle sound of the keys quite satisfying. I always prefer a keyboard that doesn't wake up the whole house when I'm typing. The keyboard feels responsive. It's heavy and solidly built, staying absolutely locked in place throughout each gaming session, regardless of how passionate I get with my inputs.
Customizing my actuation points was an absolute breeze in Logitech G Hub, and I have to say I found the interface and UI far friendlier than some of its competitors. The actuation slider is intuitive and responsive, showing me exactly how far down I'm pressing so that I have a clear idea of what I'm setting it to.
Working on custom profiles for games I regularly play was just as straightforward since the keyboard supports custom actuation points and rapid trigger settings per key. For CS2, I was able to create a profile where my W, A, S, and D keys were set to a 2.0mm actuation point with a rapid trigger reset level of 0.5mm, ensuring my keys were reset quickly in-game. Game mode also allowed me to deactivate buttons that often prove fatal when accidentally pressed in an intense moment, like the Windows key.
The TKL form factor allowed plenty of space for my oversized mousepad, and the function keys at the top of the keyboard are well-sized, easy to reach, and easy to see. I've tested keyboards where design choices make those keys hard to read, forcing you to rely on muscle memory to learn each function, so I appreciate the super legible design. For pure gaming, especially FPS and competitive gaming, the Pro X TKL Rapid performed exceptionally well.

What's bad about the PRO X TKL Rapid?
I'm just missing the lagniappe
I've been lucky enough to test out a bevy of cool gaming keyboards, and the best ones bring something really special to the table, even in the form of a singular cool feature that adds utility or enjoyment to the daily experience. It's even more common to see some neat extras on keyboards that sit at this price range, so I was disappointed that I have none to boast about on the Pro X TKL Rapid.
I'm a huge fan of USB passthrough on a gaming keyboard, yet that is missing here. I'm a sucker for software-based tools that prevent overlapping inputs like Razer's Snap Tap or Wooting's Rappy Snappy, but no such innovation is present here.
Maybe I'm not being fair since some of the keyboards I have in mind are $30–$100 more expensive than this one, but that still doesn't shake the feeling that the "Pro" moniker seems misplaced. Make a simple keyboard and charge a modest price, or make a true "pro" model and charge what it's worth. This feels like a keyboard caught between both worlds.
Better for gaming than productivity
This is less an indictment of Logitech's keyboard and more a reminder of the reality when it comes to a lot of these rapid trigger and adjustable actuation gaming keyboards. The full key travel is deep — really deep. At 4.0mm, Logitech has given you a lot of room to work with in creating custom profiles and adjusting the feel of your keyboard from game to game.
But I've also been using it for work for the past month, including writing 1,000-word articles, and it's a slog. In the beginning, my fingers would get tired pretty quickly, though I eventually got used to it. Lower-profile keyboards lend themselves to productivity work, and some gaming keyboards do a good job of striking a balance. This, unfortunately, just wasn't one of them.
Should you buy it?
