Being an Xbox Game Pass subscriber is always an interesting time. The obvious benefit is getting access to new games at no additional cost when they release, but sometimes you'll see games that have already been released debut on the service. Such is the case with the new wave of games arriving on the Xbox Game Pass, with one title being an amazing indie game that I've already clocked hours in.

The Xbox Game Pass' new additions include Rain World, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and more

That game is Rain World, an interesting title that I've played nothing else like. The idea is that you play as a small creature called a 'slugcat' as it tries to survive in a hostile world. Some creatures are friendly, others are prey, and more still will see you as a tasty snack. Part of Rain World's charm is first identifying between friend and foe, then working out how to work with the former while staving off the latter. Once you've mastered the mechanics, you go from the middle of the food chain to a deadly hunter-killer, and it's really satisfying.

If that sounds like a ton of fun, you'll be pleased to know that Rain World is arriving on Xbox Game Pass for Cloud, consoles, and PC today. Later this week, we'll also see MechWarrior 5: Clans and Assassin's Creed: Mirage appear. And the week after this, Aliens: Fireteam Elite will be making its arrival.
