13 Monster Hunter Wilds

February 28th 2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is the newest mainline game in the Monster Hunter series. After Monster Hunter Worlds’ well received launch, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next major entry in the series. Featuring a living breathing ecosystem and brand-new monsters to fight, the game is also bringing back mounts for easier exploration around the even larger open world.

Monster Hunter Wilds still has the same 14 weapon types, but it will focus on refining its gameplay instead of adding new weapons. An improved version of the slinger will be making its return, which was first added in Monster Hunter Worlds. The core gameplay remains the same, revolving around you hunting monsters in the world and then using the resources you gathered to craft new weapons and hunt even more powerful monsters.

But not everything is the same because the game makes some big changes to the series in this title. Like being able to carry a secondary weapon on your mount, allowing you to switch on the fly. Giving monsters more weak points by adding wounds and focus mode. Monster packs and pack alphas also make it more difficult to fight monsters one on one. Dynamic weather changes make different monsters show up. And offline players can now summon NPC hunters to fight alongside them if a monster proves to be too difficult for them.

Fulfill your duty as a Hunter by tracking and defeating powerful monsters and forging strong new weapons and armor from the materials you harvest from your hunt as you uncover the connection between the people of the Forbidden Lands and the locales they inhabit.

Hazelight Studios is at it again, single-handedly bringing the couch co-op genre back from the dead. While many developers shy away from couch co-op games, Hazelight embraces them, and continues to deliver fun games with unique stories and complex mechanics as found with their previous games; A Way Out and It Takes Two.

Together the authors must work alongside each other and use both sci-fi and fantasy elements to finish the story and return home. If you're looking for a game to play with a friend or significant other, then this title would be a great choice.

Mio and Zoe are contrasting writers who become trapped in their own stories after being hooked up to a machine designed to steal their creative ideas. To escape with their minds intact, they’ll need to overcome their differences to crash the system that holds them, uncovering secrets and personal struggles hidden within their own fiction.

11 Assassin's Creed Shadows

March 20th 2025

Assassin's Creed Shadows is a game that AC fans have been begging for, for years. Set in Feudal Japan, you can play two different characters, Naoe and Yasuke. This seems to be an attempt by Ubisoft to merge the gameplay elements from the original games with the combat-focused RPG nature of the more recent titles.

Each playable character has a different style of gameplay, with Naoe being a shinobi. She has a more stealthy approach to combat, and her play style is reminiscent of the earlier Assassin's Creed titles, running on rooftops, setting up traps, and stealthily assassinating targets from the shadows. Whereas Yasuke is a samurai and acts more like a tank or brute from the later games, giving you an up-close and in-your-face combat experience.

Experience an epic historical action-adventure story set in feudal Japan! Become a lethal shinobi Assassin and a powerful legendary samurai as you explore a beautiful open world in a time of chaos.

May 15th 2025

After the triumphant return of Doom in 2016, fans were eagerly waiting to see how the series would evolve in the new age of gaming. And now, Doom returns with the franchise’s latest title, Doom: The Dark Ages.

With the new entry to the franchise, it is shaking up the formula, swapping out its futuristic environment for a medieval one, while still keeping the gameplay and mechanics that made Doom (2016) so great. In this prequel, the weapon roster has completely changed, swapping out your futuristic weapons for more medieval-esque ones, featuring a shield with a chainsaw, a mace, a musket-looking shotgun, a spike gun and the one most fans are excited about, the Skull Crusher gun.

Doom Slayer is back again, sending the hordes of hell back to whence they came. This time you are used as a weapon, not by the UAC, but instead by kings and gods. Given access to an Atlan suit and a dragon mount that you can fly around on, you must slaughter your way across the armies of hell in this grittier, darker, more archaic take on the Doom franchise.

DOOM: The Dark Ages is the latest entry in the decorated first-person shooter franchise and the follow-up to DOOM Eternal. The story will cover the Doom Slayer's origin.
