Summary

  • Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra at an Unpacked event in San Francisco.
  • All three phones will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU.
  • The design is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S25 line.

Samsung has confirmed that it will reveal its Galaxy S26 series at an Unpacked keynote in San Francisco, California.

At the event, Samsung is expected to reveal its Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, its three flagship S series devices — and just like with the Galaxy S25, this year's S26 line is expected feature relatively minor upgrades. To be clear, Samsung hasn't confirmed that this Unpacked keynote will feature the Galaxy S26 series' reveal, but given the company's smartphone release timeline, it's almost certainly what's happening.

Like in years past, a lot has already leaked about the smartphones, including that all three devices will reportedly feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor in the US.

The tech giant has revealed that the pricey foldable costs $2,900, making it slightly more expensive than initial reports indicated.

We already know a lot about the Galaxy S26 line's specs

Design-wise, there likely won't be any surprises this year.

Other notable leaks include a lack of RAM and storage upgrades for the Galaxy S26 and 26+ — both smartphones are expected to feature 12GB of RAM and 256GB and 512GB storage options, according to SamMobile. Thankfully, the 128GB storage variant is no longer available with either device. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 is rumored to feature a slightly larger display at 6.3-inches.

On the camera front, there don't seem to be notable upgrades, with both the Galaxy S26 and S26+ featuring a rear triple-lens setup: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, alongside a 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra reportedly features a 200-megapixel wide-angle main lens, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an additional 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

...this year's Galaxy S26 series appears to be a relatively expected upgrade.

On the design front, all three phones are expected to look similar to last year's Galaxy S25 line, including squared-off yet rounded edges. Samsung will likely also introduce several new Galaxy AI features alongside the S26 line, but nothing has leaked yet.

Similar to past S-series device launches, Samsung says you can reserve the "latest Galaxy devices" to receive a $30 credit. This also enters you for a chance to win $5,000 to use on Samsung.com. In addition, the tech giant is offering $150 in credit when you pre-order directly on Samsung.com, along with up to $900 in trade-in savings.
