The Surface Laptop 7 is the first major shakeup the lineup has received since its inception, with a brand-new design with thinner bezels, plus a new haptic touchpad. The laptop now comes in 13.8- or 15-inch models, and it's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite or Snapdragon X plus chips.

We loved the Surface Laptop 7 when we got our hands on it. The laptop is really Microsoft at its peak, featuring a design that's sleek, plenty of power under the hood, along with an excellent display and great battery life. It's the perfect vessel to showcase Windows at its best. While it can be a pricey laptop option, we're now seeing a stellar discount on the 13.8-inch model that knocks $350 off, dropping it down to just $850 for a limited time.

A fantastic and compact Windows laptop

This model packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chip that's paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. What you need to know about this setup is that it packs quite a punch while also having good battery life. The only drawback is that since it runs on a new platform, not all apps and games are going to be compatible.

However, most of the things you need to run will work without any issues. But if you are concerned, we recommend checking with the manufacturer of the software that you use to see if it's compatible. In addition, you also get a 13.8-inch screen that's crisp and vibrant. It also supports touch, and you can also use a stylus if you want to sketch ideas.

The port selection is also pretty good as well, with two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, one USB-A, and an SD card reader. The keyboard and trackpad are comfortable to use, offering a smooth typing and navigation experience. And while access to Windows is a given, you will also be able to utilize the latest AI tools from Microsoft too.

It's a solid laptop that's now down to a price that's hard to ignore. While Black Friday is just around the corner, we don't think this price is going to be easy to beat. So if you've been looking for a laptop, grab this one now, we don't think you'll regret it.
