Don’t overwhelm yourself with complex templates that have widgets, formulas, automation, and more. As a beginner, start with a basic template for meeting notes, weekly agendas, and task management.

You should start with a task management database with reminders and a weekly agenda and create another page for your projects with tasks, due dates, status, assignee, and more.
For knowledge management, create dedicated databases for various note types and leverage nested pages to organize information effectively. You can even integrate Gmail Calendar to manage your schedule like a pro. By building these core workspaces, you'll create a solid foundation for your Notion system. You should start simple databases and gradually add complexity as needed.

Table views efficiently handle structured data, while gallery views visually represent information (like displaying your favorite books, travel places, and more). Similarly, calendar and timeline views provide powerful scheduling and project planning, and board views offer a dynamic way to track progress.
And, with the ability to create charts directly from your databases, you gain valuable insights into your data. This versatility ensures that every aspect of your life, from tasks to long-term goals, finds its perfect place within your Notion ecosystem. You can simply use the slash (/) command, type your preferred database view, and hit Enter to insert it on a page.
2 Take advantage of synced blocks

Synced blocks is one of the Notion hacks I wish I knew earlier. They allow me to create a block (or a group of blocks) of content that can be duplicated and placed across multiple Notion pages. When I make changes to a synced block in one location, those changes automatically reflect in every other instance of that synced block.
I usually create a synced block with the current project status and place it on project dashboards, meeting notes, and team communication pages. In another use case, I create a synced block for action item lists and place it in meeting notes, project plans, and personal task lists. The possibilities are endless here.
