I've talked at length about how much I love Flow Launcher and how it speeds things up for me when I use Windows 11. In fact, just last week, i wrote about 10 of the best plug-ins for it that will enhance your productivity and help you get things done faster.
But what if you just want something fun? Or maybe you have very specific needs? Well, there are plenty of Flow launcher plug-ins for you too. This time around, I wanted to highlight some weird and interesting Flow Launcher plug-ins you probably couldn't really imagine existing.

8 Yu-Gi-Oh! card search
Remember these?
I don't know if Yu-Gi-Oh! was as much of a phenomenon everywhere, but I do know that growing up, all the kids I knew were collecting these cards, or at least, knockoff versions of them (I wouldn't have known at the time). Still, Yu-Gi-Oh! was pretty big, and while I never got too into the anime, I definitely played a lot with my cousins using our made-up rules.
This Flow Launcher plug-in is probably for those who take the trading card game a bit more seriously than I ever did, but it's still pretty cool. You can find information on all the cards in the game quickly, such as their attribute, typing, and level. You can even see when that card first made its debut. It was certainly interesting to learn that the Blue-Eyes White Dragon I remember from when I was younger was originally launched in 1999. And as far as I can tell, it's as powerful as I remember.

7 HA-Commander
Controlling Home Assistant with the keyboard
As someone who's pretty happy for having set up Home Assistant at my house, HA-Commander is a pretty interesting plug-in for Flow Launcher. Basically, it enables basic controls over your connected devices using Home Assistant, so you don't have to open the web interface or a dedicated app.
5 reasons Home Assistant is the best addition to every smart home owner's NAS setup
Having trouble managing all your smart home gadgets? You might want to run an instance of Home Assistant on your NAS
It's actually fairly functional. If you have a smart light, you can turn it on or off, or even set different light effects and colors, all using the keyboard. You can also play or pause playing media on a smart speaker or display, for example. Not everything in Home Assistant is compatible, though. Some add-ons may not appear at all, such as my LG TV remotes, and you also have no way to start playing media on a device, you can just control it once it's already loaded on the device. Still, it's pretty cool to have this at all.

6 Kaomoji
For when you're feeling particularly cringy
Kaomoji are a special kind of emoticon (or emoji) that's mostly based on text characters, and they used to be pretty popular back in the day for expressing all kinds of emotions. One that you'll probably be familiar with is the table flip. Windows 11 does include a kaomoji panel alongside the standard emoji, but unlike emoji, the kaomoji aren't searchable, so finding the right one can be tricky.
Enter the kaomoji plug-in for Flow Launcher. With this, you can simply type kao and then describe the content of the emoticon you want to use. The table flip is unsurprisingly one of the top recommendations before you even start searching. When you select a result, it automatically gets copied to the clipboard so you can use it wherever you want, so it's pretty neat.

5 Minecraft Multi Launcher
For the Minecraft aficionados
Minecraft is a hugely popular game, and it has a massive presence in the modding community. You can use all kinds of mods, texture packs, and more to make your Minecraft world as zany as possible, and because of all these possibilities, you might also want to keep separate worlds created and accessible at any given time. Tools like MultiMC and PolyMC let you do just that, and now, there's also a Flow launcher plug-in that ties into those tools.
Essentially, Minecraft Multi Launcher lets you search up any of the worlds and instances of Minecraft that you have installed and you can easily launch them whenever you want. This way, you don't need to manually open the launchers, and you're in the game much faster.
I'm not much of a Minecraft guy, but it's still a pretty interesting tool for the hardcore fans.

4 StardewValleyWiki
Speaking of hardcore fans...
Stardew Valley may not have quite the same level of popularity as Minecraft, but it isn't far off, and with players being able to put hundreds of hours into growing their farms, there are a lot of questions about everything in the game. How to get certain items, how to grow certain crops, and so on. So the Stardew Valley Wiki is a great resource, and this plug-in lets you search all of it directly.
It's a pretty simple tool, but if you play a lot of Stardew Valley, being able to quickly find information about any of the items in the game is definitely valuable. Any results are shown in your browser and you're taken directly to the page you select, so it makes things a lot faster.
Again, it's not for everyone, but if you do spend a lot of time in the game, it's a very useful resource.

3 Pokedex
Be a Pokémon master
While we're still on the topic of gaming, I have to mention the Pokedex plug-in. This one is all about Pokémon, but it's not focused on a specific game in the series. You can search any Pokémon that has ever existed, as well as their abilities and find more information about them from a variety of resources.
When you search for a Pokémon, you can immediately see their name, pokédex number, sprite, and typing. Selecting a result will open a full webpage with more information, and you cana ctually choose what website to use. The default choice, Bulbapedia, is great for all kinds of detailed information about a Pokémon and its appearances throughout the entire medium. You can also use Serebii for game-specific information, too, as it's somtimes more accurate. And if you're looking to go competitive, you can also access Smogon for information about potential strategies for a given Pokémon.
As a big Pokémon fan myself, this is very cool to see, and I might be using this one quite a bit in the future.

2 ElementFlow
A periodic table, without the table
Studying chemistry and learning the periodic table of elements? Well, ElementFlow is a search tool that lets you quickly find information on any element you might be interested in. It's a useful tool for those in school or anyone with a general interest in chemistry since you can get plenty of information in one go.
Searching up an element, whether it's using its number, chemical symbol, or full name (the plug-in is case sensitive, annoyingly) returns you all kinds of inofrmation such as their group (such as noble gases), atomic mass, density, boiling point, and the year of discovery.
There is another plug-in called Periodic Table that has another interesting bit of information: the name of the person who discovered it and named it. That's missing from this plug-in, but on the whole, ElementFlow has a lot more information, so I'd still recommend that one first.

1 Wordle
If you need a way to pass the time
Wordle may not exactly be the trendy internet game anymore, but the core concept is still a fun way to keep your brain active, and is opening the webpage every day is too much of a hassle for you, then maybe Flow Launcher can help. The Wordle plug-in is a keyboard-oriented version of the game that you can play directly in the search bar.
Simply start a new game and type in your guess. If you guessed any right letters, you'll see them in the search results, and you can also see the unused characters below that as well as a list of your guesses so far. Since it's such a simple game, Wordle translates very easily to this format, and it's just as fun as playing the game normally. It's probably the best way to play on a desktop, realistically.

What others do you have?
There are a lot more plug-ins in Flow Launcher I haven't covered yet, but these are the ones that got my attention as I scrolled through the plug-in store. Do you have any you're using that you think more people should know about? Let us know in the comments!
