- This book by @DanGenis merits lots of praise. His perspective behind bars was eerily similar to my own. Extremely authentic and insightful; likely THE definitive account of what it's like to be an intelligent and curious person locked up in a contemporary American prison.
- Quick flashback to 2015, the year I was hired as a software developer at a Ukrainian startup during a time I couldn't find any tech work in America as an ex-felon... and they still paid me substantially more than any opportunity I had yet found in NYC...
- Pretty smart move of Beto to let the world know about his being a member of CDC.... that way when oppo research tries to dig up dirt from his past, nobody can accuse him of being a hacker!
- Random (externally prompted) memory: that one time I was prohibited from using a computer and facing a potentially enormous, controversial, high-profile, precedent-setting computer crime sentence and @EFF never bothered to return my voice mail imploring consultation. #deardiary
- Learning to use Twitter is harder than picking up assembly before C. When I was 14, I could start a firestorm on Efnet with a single insult. Now, as a C-level adult cyber criminal pseudo-celebrity, when I shoot out a zinger on Twitter, it's just... *crickets*. So depressing.
- Replying to @RoguePOTUSStaffYou should generate a strong crypto keypair & tweet the public key now while still using this account for future verify/ID
- Does a runtime golang binary tracer exist? Hopefully not, so that what Iβve gotten working so far isnβt a complete waste of my time...
- I was in prison while you all were learning Twitter influencing theory and temporarily toppling middle eastern autocracies. Now please kindly check your privilege and retweet/like to amplify my original content vitriol.
- I got $171.5 million to pay and a couple of years of semistarvation in a windowless prison with no outdoors or library for writing a packet sniffer. Laughing all the way to the crematorium at whatever happens to substandard liar βintelligenceβ expert Mike Flynn.
- Why does Twitter punish my inactivity so harshly by hammering me with notifications for infosec thought leaders I (obviously) don't follow? Might have to commit e-seppuku if I'm not allowed to idle in peace...
- I've met a few interesting people in my life after becoming a criminal. Thankfully (or perhaps by the very definition of "interesting"), none of them were computer professionals.
- Did you know: when you pull out your Macbook and the backlit Apple logo starts to glow, it's actually a high powered Bat-Signal that summons other whitehats in the area to start brainstorming for third track security talk ideas?
