Yemen : US Drone Strike Reportedly Kills Two Senior al-Qaeda Members in Marib

Marib – Yemeni sources reported that a drone strike, believed to be carried out by a U.S. aircraft, targeted a motorcycle in the al-Shabwan al-Samada area of al-Wadi district, eastern Marib, on Sunday evening, killing two senior members of al-Qaeda in Yemen.

According to the sources, the two militants were riding the motorcycle when the drone struck, killing them instantly and leaving their bodies in pieces. Local authorities in Marib have not yet issued any statement regarding the attack.

Since early last year, the United States has intensified strikes against al-Qaeda leaders, operatives, and assets across Yemen, with Marib becoming a primary focus amid reports of growing ties between the group and Houthi forces.
