Two Russian nationals suspected of fraud have been taken into custody.
Police said they believe the information needed to copy the cards was obtained from a kiosk in Vantaa. All the card owners patronised the kiosk last autumn. It closed down due to a fire at the end of September. The blaze is unrelated to this case.
According to the National Bureau of Investigation, copying credit cards is rare in Finland. The last widespread case occurred in 2003. At that time, credit card copying devices were placed into cash machines to obtain card information.
