The consumer watchdog says the company put up thousands of street signs around the country that failed to display necessary legal information. After an initial warning from the organisation, Pikavippi printed a text so minuscule on its street ads that it was barely visible to the naked eye.
Under Finnish law, lenders are forbidden from withholding information on loan terms from potential clients.
Pikavippi as well as Reissuluotto, another fast loan firm, have now landed under a marketing ban, following an order by Finland's Market Court.
