An icebreaker deal that brings welcome news for Finland's struggling economy dominates headlines on Friday.
"This is a good day for Finland, Kauppalehti quoted President Alexander Stubb as saying at a press conference at the Finnish Embassy in DC following the US-Finnish deal for icebreakers.
Helsingin Sanomat noted that Thursday's meeting with US President Donald Trump was already Stubb's third this year.
The agreement signed in the White House includes provisions for the construction of four icebreakers in Finland and seven more in the United States. The first icebreaker is scheduled to be delivered to the United States in 2028, according to KL, an effort that will offer opportunities in Finland's maritime industry.

International headlines
Stubb and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo's (NCP) meeting with Trump at the White House grabbed attention around the world.
Ilta-Sanomat reports that many outlets highlighted Trump's pledge to defend Finland in the event of a Russian attack.
"I think the chances of that are very, very, very small," NBC News quoted Trump as saying.
American outlets like The New York Times characterised Thursday's Oval Office meeting as one on defence cooperation.
The NYT noted that Trump in the past has said he warned Nato countries that he would "encourage" Russia to do "whatever the hell they want" to countries that had not paid the money they owed to Nato.
Fox News, meanwhile, published a glowing article portraying Stubb as one of Trump's close partners, writing that "personal chemistry, maintained through frequent text exchanges, has quietly opened doors for the Finnish president, a longtime marathoner and triathlete with a competitive streak."
Juvenile investors
In personal finance news, Iltalehti encourages new parents to take advantage of OP Bank's 100-euro gift for each newborn to invest in its OP-World Index mutual fund.
Only a fraction of families have latched on to the offer, which is available to all children born in 2025 who have a Finnish personal identity number, a registered name, and a permanent address in Finland.
The investment can be claimed through OP Bank's online service or at a branch within 12 months of the child's birth.
Prominent residence
Finland's real estate market has been sliding for some time, with property prices trending downward and sales slowing.
Against this backdrop, Hufvudstadsbladet notes that former political heavyweights Carl Haglund (SPP) and Sanna Marin (SDP) are putting their upscale Helsinki properties on the market. President Alexander Stubb's childhood home in the capital city is also up for sale.
Realtor Andrei Koivumäki told HBL that flats upwards of 400,000-500,000 euros are taking longer to sell in the current economic climate.
Stubb's former home is the most affordable of the three, listed at 439,000 euros. But the high monthly maintenance fee of 1,426.80 euros, fuelled by the recent, sharply increased plot rents on leafy Lehtisaari island, is dampening buyer interest, the paper explained.
