I hate myself for avoiding Gantz for so long. I thought it was some corny military type of anime/manga. Since I wasn't into sci-fi, gun fights and mecha, I assumed it was all that without realizing its more than that.

I'm into death games but totally been missing out on Gantz. Damn

Nevertheless. One ending is capable of ruining an entire anime. Fact.
This is not the first anime and certainly wont be the last.

Isn't that kinda normal? Like I said the ending sucks (as in the ending arc, so after the team got smoked in the temple from what I remember). They F***ED up but the rest was good. To tell the truth it was really Gantz only up to ep. 21. The rest is just random crap.

I watched the anime before reading the manga so I didn't know that the last part wasn't part of the manga and still anyone can guess the difference. It is not about the ending it's about the last episodes, they were really bad if you compare them to the rest of the show.
I enjoyed the anime too but you can't judge or rate just the episodes that you liked but the anime series as a whole.

No the ending wasn't completely pointless .... it was a good way to ruin the anime.

Well the ending had nothing to do with the manga so obviously it was pointless...

The ending itslelf is quite pointless. What i mean(and perhaps what a lot of ppl think) is that it wasnt necessary, it could of stayed without one. . . its not like making a sequel that follows the manga is bound to fail and i'm sure that there are plenty of fans out there who wont mind to wait a couple of years for a proper continuation of the anime

That really was a downpoint in the Anime only, because of the filler Ending. The Manga needed it and wents on to develop Kei, plus all is not over, some will be back.

Killing most of them was amongst the greatest plot twists in history. Plus, it ain't really over so no worries.

I think Gantz began awsome.
But somewhere before the last episodes they kill 90% of the cast and the storyline with it. That ruined the Anime in my opinion.
What do you think?

Added Butter Dog to the Character database, at least someone did one for Kishimoto.

Kurono, Kato and Nishi are still missing.

Any Gantz fans here?

What, no Gantz Club yet?
Yeah ok, halve the Anime was filler, but common people...

Anyone else hoping for a new adaption once Oku gets far enought/done with Phase 3?
