Those (like me) who put Slayers among the cult classics are welcome here. Those who don't go that far but still enjoyed the series... are also welcome here.

One of these days, someone would eventually make a Megumi Hayashibara club. Maybe that's going to be me, who knows. We'll see. New onemoo would've been right about time, considering the recent anniversary and the new Two Thumbs Up song.

Ten years later...
J-novel plans to release the main novel series. The first omnibus release is tentatively slated for July 2021. I am not yet uncertain if they intend to include volume 16 and any future books but the first 15 are currently confirmed to be in their plans.

There are no fan translations of novels 1-8 so you'll have to put up with Tokyopop. The Cursed Sword of Bezeld is easy to find, though. Anything after that remains untranslated, as far as I know.
There are 15 novels in the main franchise. There are also some side stories but I know little about those. If you're interested in the details, you might want to check out KanzakaDex (spoiler warning, beware!) which is basically a Slayers wiki.

I tihnk the Slayers began from a series of light novels and the anime and manga series that exist are just branches. I think only a very small part of the novels has been transferred to anime so there are a lot more Slayers' stories original stories. I don't know if the novels are translated to English though.

Slayers was my first real (not on tv or dubbed) animu that I watched. I still consider it one of the better animu I've seen.
I recently checked out the tokyopop versions of the novels but I didn't like the translation. If anyone knows where to find the old fan-translated versions please drop me a PM.

I don't have anything in mind for this club (at the moment) so feel free to start any kind of discussion (of the "club related" kind, obviously).
By the way, I've just read The Cursed Sword of Bezeld, and I am already dying to get my hands on the previous installments.
