Morning Musume. is an all girls Japanese idol group. The members get replaced when they become too old, they "graduate". This has - as of March 2015 - resulted in the 12th generation being formed. Each member has their own colour assigned.

The band was formed in 1997 by singer-songwriter and suddenly record producer Tsunku. Since then it is considered the flagship of Hello! Project.

The band has spawned many splinter groups, such as Country Musume., Berryz Koubo, C-ute, and v-u-den. The members inside the band itself are regularly split into different groups/units.

Since 2014, an idea by Tsunku, the group changes its name every year. Thus in 2014 they were named Morning Musume. '14, in 2015 Morning Musume. '15, aso. This will be reflected in the credit comment on AniDB.
