Sakurabi Katsushi is an animator, storyboarder, animation supervisor and director working for J.C.Staff. He made his directional debut with Gunparade March but is notoriously known as the director of the Tsukihime anime adaption. His most important work was Rescue Wings.

Sakurabi is known for giving detailed gestures and use of effects like sundown and moonlight to emphasise the feelings of the characters. He tends to do important scenes by himself when doing a storyboard for an episode. He likes love stories but prefers them to be simple and refreshing, going as far as modifying original stories as far as possible, which has brought him a lot of critique as director of the doujin sound novel Tsukihime, with most fans disapproving of his changes.

Sakurabi often uses his real name 桜美勝志 (same reading) when working as an animator.
