I think there was a typo in your URL, since it was the same as from the previous test. Since you noted a different commit number, I adjusted and pulled the kernel from:
This kernel fails to boot, with the "failed to get file info size/failed to alloc highmem for files" message as noted in post #20 of this bug report, rather than VirtualBox crashing, as described in my original bug report description.
