The Firefox Startpage, has an issue when i start typing, it everytime jumps to the address bar.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:148.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/148.0

Steps to reproduce:

The Firefox Startpage, has an issue with the Search field.

Actual results:

when i click into the search field and start typing, to search on google startpage or duckduck, the cursor everytime jumps to the addressbar and start typing there.

and yes im on firefox 148.0.2 on linux and windows.
I made a screenshot to show you what exactly i mean in my bad english :D

Expected results:

The typing should start in the Searchfield witch i clicked on.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I think it's intended.

This was re-enabled in bug 2017049 for accessibility reasons, see bug 2017049 comment 7. This was re-enabled in 148.0.2.
