Dial-up Internet access
L'accès Internet par ligne commutée est une forme d'accès à Internet qui utilise les installations du réseau téléphonique public commuté pour établir une connexion téléphonique avec un fournisseur de services Internet par ligne téléphonique. L'ordinateur ou le routeur de l'utilisateur utilise un modem attaché pour coder et décoder les paquets de protocole Internet et contrôler les informations dans et à partir des signaux analogiques de fréquence audio, respectivement. L'accès à Internet partagé est rarement utilisé. L'accès à Internet haut débit est ce que la grande majorité des gens utilisent. Dial-up Internet access is a form of Internet access that uses the facilities of the public switched telephone network to establish a dialed connection to an Internet service provider via telephone lines. The user's computer or router uses an attached modem to encode and decode Internet Protocol packets and control information into and from analogue audio frequency signals, respectively. Dial-up internet is rarely used anymore. Broadband internet access is what the vast majority of people use.
