Karaim
Karim ou Karayit est une secte juive. Karim est connu pour le synonyme hébreu Ba'alei ha-Mikra. Les Karaim ne reconnaissent aucune autre source que les Inscriptions de la Torah, les principaux livres religieux des Juifs, et les règles verbales ne trouvent pas contraignantes pour leurs propres croyances. Le Talmud, l'autre livre sacré du judaïsme, mais une compilation de traditions et de règles verbales, n'est pas reconnu par Karaim. Puisque leur source unique est la Torah, ils célèbrent des fêtes religieuses différemment. Ils sont considérés comme une dénomination extraordinaire par les autres Juifs parce qu'ils doivent dire qu'ils n'obéissent pas particulièrement aux traditions et coutumes religieuses. Karaim ya da Karayit bir Yahudi mezhebidir. Karaim terimi İbranice Ba'alei ha-Mikra eşanlamı ile bilinir. Karaimler, Yahudilerin ana din kitabı olan Tora Yazıtları'ndan başka bir kaynak tanımaz, sözel kuralları kendi inancı için bağlayıcı bulmazlar. Yahudiliğin diğer kutsal kitabı olan, ancak sözel gelenek ve kuralların bir derlemesini oluşturan Talmud, Karaimlerce tanınmamaktadır. Tek kaynakları Tevrat olduğundan bazı dinî bayramları farklı biçimde kutlarlar. Bir takım dinî gelenek ve göreneklere özellikle uymadıklarını belirtmelerinden dolayı diğer Yahudilerce ayrıksı bir mezhep olarak görülür.
