Aritzo (Sardinian: Arìtzo) is a town and comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the autonomous island region of Sardinia in Italy, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Cagliari and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of Nuoro. It has a population of 1,272.[6][7]
Aritzo borders the municipalities of Arzana, Belvì, Desulo, Gadoni, Laconi, Meana Sardo, and Seulo.

As of 2026, the population is 1,272, of which 59.4% are male, and 40.6% are female. Minors make up 10.4% of the population, and seniors make up 27.4%.[8][9]

Immigration
[edit]As of 2025, of the known countries of birth of 1,203 residents, the most numerous are: Italy (1,062 – 88.3%), Pakistan (60 – 5%), Bangladesh (20 – 1.7%), Afghanistan (10 – 0.8%), Nigeria (7 – 0.6%).[12][13]
