History needs to begin with invention of coins
[edit]The history section begins very late in the history of cash. It needs to begin with the origin of coinage discussed by David Graeber in Debt, warlords issuing coins to soldiers and then taxing their subjects in those coins. Obliging people to supply the warlords army as it passed through their area, or trade with people who had, so they could pay the tax. Danylstrype (talk) 00:04, 25 May 2026 (UTC)[]
