Is this in the body? I can't find it. If not, 'tis uncited. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 16:08, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[]
- Ping FA nom: @DrKay:. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 21:23, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[]
- I'm inclined to cut it. It's too long ago for me to remember the details of why I might have written that. DrKay (talk) 21:49, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[]
- I think it's useful, would just reword it in the body and add a ref. Anywhere you know of that could give us a decent citation? Tim O'Doherty (talk) 23:25, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[]

@DuncanHill: The problem WASN'T that the Lords were "unelected." It was that they were hereditary nobility with a chokehold. We don't live under those circumstances anymore as 89% of members are appointed and there's no majority. You could just as accurately say that judges are unelected or civil servants are unelected. GOLDIEM J (talk) 19:49, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[]
- "We don't live under those circumstances anymore" is completely irrelevant. What matters is the facts at the time. The problem WAS that they were unelected, as they were blocking legislation coming from the elected House. I have to say I find your objection incomprehensible. DuncanHill (talk) 19:58, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[]
- @DuncanHill: But it wasn't because they were unelected that they did it. That wasn't the problem. They blocked it because they were landed elites who were targeted by the budget. GOLDIEM J (talk) 11:55, 17 January 2026 (UTC)[]
- That isn't a reason not to say they were unelected. And the Parliament Act (the context which we are discussing) was possible because they were unelected - establishing the supremacy of the Commons because it was the elected chamber and the Lords weren't. Burials in the infobox
[edit]
The infobox is supposed to summarise the main points of the article body and should not include details not found in the article body. His casket is in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, and has been in St George's Chapel since 1910. The fact that the casket has been moved around within the chapel is in my view not a main point. The main point is that he is entombed in the chapel. I don't believe it is necessary to repeat the location three times in the infobox, particularly when it is only stated once in the article body.
