Personal Statement
[edit]Hello, I’m Editor13002. I’m one of several Wikipedia contributors who focus on helping preserve Michigan’s historical, industrial, institutional, and legal significance. Michigan has an extraordinarily rich history, and I believe accuracy, documentation, and public access to information matter.
I contribute voluntarily because I believe even the smaller details have value. Some people are satisfied knowing only part of a story; others want to understand the broader historical context surrounding the people, institutions, industries, and events that helped shape it.
Outside of Wikipedia, I work in institutional policy research. A small group of colleagues and I regularly discuss areas of Michigan history, infrastructure, public policy, and archival preservation that we believe deserve greater attention and documentation for future researchers and the public.
"Information is one of the most valuable resources in existence."
