Hi, I notice that you reverted my edits to Green toucanets and Wagler's toucanet with the comment "restore page as per IOC 15.1 (which is still the project standard)".

The AviList taxonomy replaces that of the IOC, Clements/eBird and BirdLife/IUCN. This has been discussed on the Birds talk page here. David Donsker and Pam Rasmussen who maintained the IOC checklist are part of the AviList team. AviList published their checklist in June of 2025. At the end of October Clements published their 2025 checklist which included many changes to align with AviList. BirdLife intends to adopt the AviList taxonomy - Paul Donald from BirdLife is part of AviList - but it will take some time for BirdLife to make all the changes.
