The article Institute for Environmental and Technology Law has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged as Unreferenced for 15 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Tried to find sources online, but only found passing mentions.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Bearian (talk) 05:12, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[]
- I found the article about this institute in the German Wikipedia, and added the link to it. I found some references in it, and will add them (and de-prod). Markussep Talk 08:15, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[]

Help with accessing Bundestag archives
[edit]I am currently writing an article on Hans-Joachim Hacker. You can read the discussion at Template:Did you know nominations/Hans-Joachim Hacker. Basically, to avoid WP:SYNTH problems, I need to find a source directly stating that he joined the Bundestag directly from the Volkskammer on 3 October 1990. There is a source saying that he did join on the date, which all but confirms it, but I've been told that that's not enough for a source. So, I was wondering, would it be possible to have someone in Germany contact the Bundestag Parlamentsarchiv and inquire if they have a list of the 144 Volkskammer members that automatically joined the Bundestag on 3 October? It seems like there are no online archives of documents regarding reunification but if I am wrong please let me know where I could fine these. For the documents a digital scan would be preferable, but if not, the text itself would work fine also. Thanks, Chorchapu (talk | edits) 21:26, 28 January 2026 (UTC)[]

Jedox article improvements
[edit]I have an ongoing request for the Jedox Wikipedia page, it is a German software company and the article currently has several tags that note room for improvement. The Talk page has my request outlined and additionally, I have made a user space draft with my full proposal.
This request was made as part of my work for Beutler Ink, on behalf of our client Jedox. Because I have a financial conflict of interest, I prefer not to make direct edits. Always happy to discuss the request, as well. Cheers BINK Robin (talk) 20:34, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[]
Translation help needed for bilingual welcome template
[edit]👁 Image
Courtesy link: Template:Welcome-foreign/German
Hello. Can you help verify a brief, English-to-German translation in a welcome template?
Template:Welcome-foreign is a bilingual welcome template used to welcome new users who have written content in some other language besides English. The template welcomes them first in English, then in their own language, as long as it is one of the three dozen languages it can handle. New languages are easily added. I have added support for German, but I don't know German well enough so I used automatic translation to create Template:Welcome-foreign/German from the original at Template:Welcome-foreign/English. I'd appreciate it if a native German speaker could verify or improve the translation. Feel free to edit it directly, or paste a better translation below, if you prefer not to edit a template. Thanks! The article Wilhelm Baur has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged as Unreferenced for 13 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. A Google search found only literally footnotes in books about the Third Reich. Fails the relevant notability guidelines and outcomes at WP:AFD, which have deleted most 2- and 3-star generals. Lacks significant coverage.

German source review
[edit]Hello, I'm an employee of Beutler Ink posting here on behalf of our client Jedox. Recently, Jedox the Wikipedia article was deleted due to notability concerns.
Many of the comments in the deletion discussion were looking at the article's sources in use (note: none of the sources I ask about below were used in the now-deleted article). I presented a draft which used German sources, however access and language barrier posed problems.
I have made a new user space draft. Before I submit it through AfC, I wanted to ask editors here if anyone is able to access the German sources below and can weigh in on their reliability and whether they contribute to WP:NCORP?

Thanks for taking a look! Happy to discuss the sources, cheers BINK Robin (talk) 22:27, 4 March 2026 (UTC)[]
- @BINK Robin, the Badische Zeitung articles look likely to be good coverage to me, especially given that one is dated 2014 and one 2021, that is, this is a company that has some "lasting" amount of press coverage outside of press releases. But these sources were all known to editors in the previous deletion discussion, so I'm not sure there's much room to challenge this. I have to say, as an admin I wouldn't have deleted the article as a result of that discussion, which was quite poor overall. (I'd have relisted it with a pointed note that editors should explicitly respond to the German-language sources and not just drop "not notable" as rationales.) -- asilvering (talk) 22:57, 4 March 2026 (UTC)[]
- @Asilvering, thanks for taking a look! Do you think it would be a candidate for a deletion review? Or is proceeding with AfC with better sources still the best approach? Cheers, BINK Robin (talk) 18:39, 12 March 2026 (UTC)[]
- AFC. The deletion review will be unsuccessful as the consensus of the AFD was very clear. -- asilvering (talk) 01:46, 13 March 2026 (UTC)[]
- That makes sense, thank you! BINK Robin (talk) 15:44, 13 March 2026 (UTC)[]
- These sources were retrieved in December 2025; which is before the AfD took place. @BINK Robin:, do you have access to the full text of all the sources you dropped? If so, why did you not engage in discussion during AfD showing in what way they make the article meet WP:NCORP requirements while AfD was still taking place? If you do not, I can't even imagine how you can even try to claim NCORP based on sources you can't access. Graywalls (talk) 14:02, 31 March 2026 (UTC)[]

Submission of new article of a 100 year old German company
[edit]A few weeks ago, I wrote a new article on en.wikipedia about a German company that celebrated its 100th anniversary last year. The company is a hidden champion that operates globally. There is also an article about this company on the German Wikipedia at https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/GKD_%E2%80%93_Gebr._Kufferath. The reason for rejecting the article on en.wikkipedia was that it uses advertising / promotion elements. However, I do not see any promotional elements in the article, but rather a historically accurate chronicle and a brief insight into the company's business activities. What can be done to revise the article so that it is no longer rejected? The draft can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:GKD_%E2%80%93_Gebr._Kufferath Larsson75 (talk) 09:09, 11 March 2026 (UTC)[]
- Hi @Larsson75, you'll get better advice on this at WP:TEA. At a quick skim I don't see anything advertising-like, so please ask the reviewer directly. If you don't understand their response, feel free to ping me. -- asilvering (talk) 17:52, 11 March 2026 (UTC)[]
