Helianthus annuus (Common Sunflower) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Andrena albopunctata, Mexican Bumble Bee, Ligated Furrow Bee, and Hunt Bumble Bee. Individuals can grow to 9 feet.
