Vincent Van Patten is an American professional tennis player, poker commentator, and actor. His roles include the shows Medical Center, The New Scooby-Doo Movies, The Magical World of Disney, Apple’s Way, Three for the Road, Baywatch, and The Young and the Restless; the films Charley and the Angel, Chino, Rock ‘n’ Roll High School, Yesterday (1981), Hell Night, Camp Fear, The Break (1995), Backyard Dogs, High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story, and 7 Days to Vegas, which he co-wrote; and the made-for-tv movies The Bravos, Gidget’s Summer Reunion, The Dirty Dozen: The Deadly Mission, and When Billie Beat Bobby.

He is the son of dancer and actress Pat Van Patten (born Patricia Helm Poole) and actor and animal welfare advocate Dick Van Patten. Vincent is married to actress, author, television personality, and model Eileen Davidson. He has two children with his former wife, actress Betsy Russell; and a son with Eileen.

Vincent is a first cousin of actress Talia Balsam and a half-cousin of actress Grace Van Patten.

Vincent’s paternal grandfather was Richard Byron Van Patten (the son of John Peter Van Patten and Florence Lucinda Tyler). Richard was born in New York. John was the son of Byron Van Pattern and Elizabeth Abigail Butler, whose mother was German, from Württemberg. Florence was the daughter of Edwin Forest Tyler and Anna Otten.

Vincent’s paternal grandmother was Josephine Rose Acerno (the daughter of Vincent Acerno and Rose Larusso). Josephine was born in New York, to Italian parents. Vincent was born in Potenza, Basilicata, the son of Bonevultura Acerno and Josephine.

Vincent’s maternal grandfather was Robert Edward Poole (the son of William Washington Poole and Willie Louise Legette). William was the son of Washington Poole and Laura Celestine Sarratt. Willie was the daughter of William LeGette and Louisa Amelia Cannon.

Vincent’s maternal grandmother was Helen Clay Powell (the daughter of John Tate Powell and Mary Catherine Clay). John was the son of Pinkney Shuford Powell and Louisa Regina/Ragena Roark. Mary was the daughter of Marcus Caleb Clay and Susan Essie Sherrill.
