Description
This test case tests whether automatic mounting of removable media works in a given installation. For full testing you will need a system with an optical disc reader, an optical disc (compatible with the drive) containing some data, and some kind of USB storage device such as a USB key
How to test
- Clean boot the Fedora you wish to test: this could be a system installed from a particular snapshot, pre-release, or release, or a live image
- If possible, insert the optical disc into the optical drive and observe whether it is mounted and the contents displayed
- If possible, connect the USB storage device to the system and observe whether it is mounted and the contents displayed
Expected Results
- Both optical media and USB storage devices should be automatically mounted when inserted / attached. If intended by the desktop environment under test, the contents of the device (or a window with a list of available actions) should be displayed
