Hyderabad, Feb 08 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party president Asaduddin Owaisi was granted bail in a case filed against him by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) members. Owaisi surrendered before Deputy Commissioner of Police V. Satyanarana on Monday morning. The TPCC had alleged that AIMIM workers had attacked them during the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls.

Hyderabad, Jan 19 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday condemned the Dalit scholar’s suicide in the University of Hyderabad. He said the incident indicated that campus politics was no more a place for the decent. He added that the vice-chancellor should realise that it was because of him, that a youth was compelled to take such a big step. One of the five dalit scholars, expelled from the University of Hyderabad 12 days ago, hanged himself to death on Sunday.

He emphasised that such statement can mislead the people of the country. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majeed Memon too contradicted over Swamy's remark and said that he himself is acquainted with Court's procedure and therefore he should not have made such baseless comments. Communist Party of India (CPI-M) leader Sitaram Yechury accused the Centre and said that Ram Temple is the political agenda of this government and the RSS.

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 07 (ANI): Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury on Thursday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the Ram Janam Bhoomi event, which is scheduled to be held in Delhi University, saying that educational institutions should not be involved in sensitive issues such as these. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi said that academic institutions should not be used for such discussions. He added that the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University should not have given the permission to speak on a sensitive issue like Ram Janam Bhoomi.
