Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut alleged that MPs from Maharashtra were being offered Rs 50 crore each to defect from the party. He made the claim at a press conference where other party leaders dismissed reports of a rebellion. Raut also mentioned an "Operation Tiger" to engineer defections. The party currently has nine Lok Sabha MPs and any defection by two-thirds could have significant implications.
