Experts have said authorities in Chandigarh, a city with the highest vehicle density in the country, must take steps to make its public transport system robust to ease the already congested city roads.

Rajasthan/ Mathura, Jan 11 (ANI): At least six people were killed and 40 others injured as the bus they were travelling in overturned on a highway in Rajasthan. The bus was travelling to capital Jaipur city when it met with the accident near Tonk district. Local authorities rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. The condition of six people is reported to be serious. Local lawmaker, Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria, expressed remorse at the accident. Meanwhile, in another tragic incident, four people were killed and three others seriously injured in a car accident on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district. One of the tyres of the car burst, throwing the vehicle out of control. Police is investigating the case.
Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), Jan 08 (ANI): Seven people were killed and 12 others injured in a collision between a bus and a jeep in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on Friday. Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Rajeev Pachar said the incident took place after the driver of the speeding jeep lost his control over the vehicle.
