The Ram Charan starrer earned Rs 5.15 crore on Friday, taking its total India gross collection to Rs 235.98 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. While the numbers were relatively modest for the start of a weekend, all eyes are now on Saturday and Sunday to see whether the film, also starring Janhvi Kapoor, can regain momentum and post double-digit collections globally.
With its worldwide earnings reportedly crossing the break-even mark against its estimated Rs 350 crore budget, Peddi is on track to emerge as Ram Charan’s first major box-office success since the blockbuster RRR. The actor’s previous releases, Acharya and Game Changer, underperformed at the box office. In particular, Game Changer sparked debate within the industry over extravagant production spending, including reports of a song sequence costing nearly Rs 75 crore.

Peddi also found itself at the centre of controversy shortly after release, with several viewers criticising the portrayal and objectification of Janhvi Kapoor’s character. The backlash prompted director Buchi Babu Sana to issue a public apology and reportedly make changes to the scenes in question.
Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu and Shiva Rajkumar in pivotal roles.

After a steady dip in earnings over the past few days, director Buchi Babu Sana's Ram Charan-Janhvi Kapoor starrer Peddi saw a daily collection uptick, with the money it collected on Saturday, June 13, being higher than that on Friday. As of 7.50 pm, the sports action drama had earned Rs 5.60 crore on Saturday, taking its total India nett collection to Rs 204.30 crore.

After a fairly dull Friday, when it recorded its lowest single-day collection thus far (Rs 5.15 crore), director Buchi Babu Sana's Ram Charan-Janhvi Kapoor starrer Peddi seems to have returned to form. Its earnings for Saturday, June 13, have almost reached those of Friday.
As of 5.20 pm, the sports action drama has garnered Rs 4.16 crore across 2,640 shows with an overall occupancy of 24.1 per cent. With this, the movie's total India nett collection stands at Rs 202.86 crore. While the original Telugu version has contributed Rs 3.71 crore to the overall haul, the Hindi edition has earned Rs 45 lakh, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
