User @vibeofabhi posted a long note on X which read, "Dear TFI, The day you stop putting characters that have no value in the story. And you put them with the intention, of over-sexualizing them. You will start to break the old mold. Yes the actress gave you freedom on how to showcase them. And no hate on that. But the way you show her, you seem so perverted. Sorry if that’s harsh but it’s true. Peddi could’ve been one of the greatest sport drama out of India. But it is not. Not because of anyone. But the director. He became to comfortable and just gave a mediocre film with amazing scenes. Man, I always said Ram Charan Anna is one of the greatest actors and he proves himself in this one too. But I am tired of seeing him waste his time on mediocre fares. I know his comeback is in a couple years, with Sukku sir, but damn this movie could’ve been good. I liked a lot of scenes in this movie, but the fluff you put in between with the so called 'commercial space' is just bad. Please for all the directors, yes I know we have amazing directors that have their own way and do good job. But please stop this backwards writing. Write more unique, there is nothing wrong in it. Hire new writers, write with the intention of the story not for 'I need to make a hero movie.' I think Peddi is an avg film, which is carried by Charan Anna and ARR music. Also there are scenes which are just amazing. But that fluff man. Pure Directors Fault."
