Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Tuesday they will target US companies in the region as of April 1 in retaliation for attacks on Iran, state media reported, according to Reuters. The 18 companies listed in the IRGC’s threat included Microsoft, Google, Apple, Intel, IBM, Tesla and Boeing. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said US planes with military supplies for Israel are not being allowed to use the French airspace. He also said countries, including the United Kingdom, should “start learning how to fight for” themselves and get their own fuel. He added that the US won’t be there to help anymore.
Meanwhile, as the US-Israel war on Iran entered its second month, American forces struck a major ammunition depot in Isfahan using 2,000-pound bunker-buster bombs, according to officials cited by The Wall Street Journal, while regional tensions escalated with fresh strikes, tanker attacks and rising global economic concerns, Reuters reported.
The strike in Isfahan, a key Iranian military hub, reportedly triggered secondary explosions, even as Tehran signalled it viewed recent US peace proposals as “unrealistic”. The developments come amid continued exchanges of fire between Iran and Israel and growing fears over energy security linked to the Strait of Hormuz.
What Trump said: US President Donald Trump said Washington would target Iran’s critical infrastructure if talks fail. “If they don’t make a deal… we will destroy their energy sites,” he said, adding that the US could hit power plants, oil wells and “possibly” water desalination facilities.
Trump also claimed “serious” talks were underway and confirmed communication with Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, even as Iran denied direct negotiations. He has set a 6 April deadline for a deal and warned of further strikes on sites the US has so far avoided.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reiterated that Washington “prefers diplomacy” but warned of “real consequences” if Iran continues actions such as restricting access through the Strait of Hormuz.

US President Donald Trump has said that the United States will "leave" Iran in "two or three" more weeks, while claiming that the country is "begging to make a deal".
President Donald Trump lashed out Tuesday at allies who have been unwilling to do more to support the U.S. war effort against Iran, telling them to “go get your own oil” and saying it was not America’s job to secure the Strait of Hormuz.
The president said the military could end its offensive in two to three weeks and that the U.S. “will not have anything to do with” what happens next in the strait that has been closed by the Islamic Republic. Instead, he told reporters, the responsibility for keeping the vital waterway open will rest with countries that rely on it.
There’s “no reason for us to do this,” Trump said after signing an executive order that seeks to restrict mail-in voting. “That’s not for us. That’ll be for France. That’ll be for whoever’s using the strait.”
The White House said Trump would deliver a prime-time address Wednesday evening to update the public on the war.
The attacks showed the intensity of the war more than a month after the U.S. and Israel launched it. The conflict has left more than 3,000 dead and caused major disruptions to the world’s supply of oil and natural gas, roiling global markets and pushing up the cost of many basic goods.
Trump, whose comments have vacillated between talk that diplomatic progress is being made with Iran and threats to widen the war, had earlier shared footage of the attack on Isfahan.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Tuesday the next few days in the war against Iran would be decisive and warned Tehran that the conflict would intensify if it did not make a deal.
Hegseth, who reported he visited U.S. troops in the Middle East on Saturday, said President Donald Trump was willing to make a deal with Iran to end the war. Talks were ongoing and gaining strength, but the U.S. was prepared to continue the war if Iran did not comply, he said.
"We have more and more options, and they have less ... in only one month we set the terms, the upcoming days will be decisive," Hegseth said in Washington. "Iran knows that, and there's almost nothing they can militarily do about it."
Responding to the threat against American corporate interests, a White House official said the U.S. military was "prepared to curtail any attacks."
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Tuesday he has been receiving direct messages from U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff but they do not constitute "negotiations", Qatar's Al Jazeera TV cited him as saying. The messages include threats or exchanged views delivered through "friends", he added.
The month-long conflict has spread across the region, killing thousands, disrupting energy supplies and threatening to send the global economy into a tailspin.
Trump threatened on Monday to obliterate Iran's energy plants if it does not agree to a peace deal and open the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global oil shipments that has effectively been blocked by Iran.
The U.S. president on Tuesday criticised countries that have not helped the U.S. war effort, such as Britain. In a social media post, he said that in response to the global fuel shortage, these countries should buy energy from the U.S. or find "some delayed courage, go to the strait and just TAKE IT".

US President Donald Trump says nations upset by high fuel prices should "go get your own oil" as Iran has chokehold on Strait of Hormuz, reports AP
As the Iran war intensifies, President Donald Trump has prioritised efforts to calm the financial markets - trying to keep oil prices from exploding upward, stocks from cratering and interest rates from surging.
When the markets have flashed danger, Trump has been quick with a social media post or a remark to claim the war he launched last month could soon end. He's publicly declared that the markets are doing better than he expected, even with the S&P 500 stock index declining over the past five weeks and the global oil benchmark up roughly 60 per cent.
"I thought oil prices were going to go up higher than they are now," Trump said at a Friday investor summit. "And I thought that we would see a bigger drop in stock. It hasn't been that bad." With the Iran war, the White House has largely refrained from messaging more aggressively to voters about the economic consequences - choosing instead to try to contain any damage in the financial markets, which have swung wildly on the prospects of ceasefire or escalation in what has become a high-stakes guessing game about Trump's next moves. — AP

A likely strike by the United States hit the central Iranian city of Isfahan early Tuesday, sending a massive fireball into the sky, and Tehran struck a fully loaded Kuwaiti oil tanker in the Persian Gulf.
The attacks were testament to the intensity of the monthlong war the US and Israel launched against Iran, which has maintained its chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz, closing off the vital waterway for global energy shipments, sending oil prices skyrocketing and roiling world markets.
The Saudi Ministry of Defense says the drones were intercepted and destroyed over the past hours.
It did not specify where the aircraft were shot down.
Earlier, the ministry said it had intercepted eight ballistic missiles launched towards Riyadh and the Eastern Province.

Iran attacked and set ablaze a fully loaded crude oil tanker off Dubai on Monday, as President Donald Trump warned the U.S. would obliterate Iran's energy plants and oil wells if it does not open the Strait of Hormuz.
The apparent strike on the Kuwait-flagged Al-Salmi is the latest in a string of assaults on merchant vessels by missiles or explosive air and sea drones in the Gulf and Strait of Hormuz since the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on February 28.
The month-long conflict has spread across the Middle East, killing thousands, disrupting energy supplies and threatening to send the global economy into a tailspin.
Crude oil prices briefly spiked anew after Kuwait's state news agency reported the attack on the tanker, which can carry around 2 million barrels of oil worth more than $200 million at current prices.
The average retail price of gasoline in the US has crossed $4 a gallon (3.78 litres) for the first time in more than three years, the Reuters news agency reported, citing data from price tracking services GasBuddy.
Since the US-Israel war against Iran began on February 28, the national average retail gasoline prices in the US have climbed about $1.06 a gallon, or 36 percent, the agency said.
The Dubai Media Office says emergency response teams “successfully extinguished the fire” on the Kuwaiti oil tanker Al Salmi.
“Relevant teams continue to assess the situation and take the necessary measures, and updates will be shared as they become available,” it said.
Netanyahu has given an interview to the US network Newsmax [in which he was asked] about the prospect for when this air campaign might end.
He was reluctant to put any kind of a time limit on it.
There’s been a lot of speculation of what Israel would do if the US suddenly has some kind of negotiated breakthrough and declares a ceasefire.
Netanyahu was non-committal in this interview, but he said that in his view, they are over halfway through their list of what they want to strike in Iran. Now, that does raise more questions, because we’ve heard from other military officials in Israel that they’re quite close to the end of their list of “vital assets” that they want to strike.
US President Donald Trump on Monday issued a stark warning to Iran, threatening to target civilian and energy infrastructure, including electric power plants, oil wells, desalination facilities and the export hub of Kharg Island, if Tehran does not agree to a ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz to global shipping.

The Lebanese group says its fighters have launched an attack targeting a military checkpoint in the Misgav Am settlement in northern Israel with a swarm of drones.
The group also said it struck an Israeli Merkava tank on the road between the towns of al-Qantara and al-Taybe in southern Lebanon with a guided missile. It said the tank “was seen burning, which prompted a force to arrive to evacuate casualties and tow the tank under a heavy smoke screen coinciding with phosphorus shell fire”.
US President Donald Trump on Monday threatened widespread destruction of Iran's energy resources and other vital infrastructure, including desalination plants, if a deal to end the war with Tehran is not reached "shortly." Trump said the US is negotiating with Iran's parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, in an interview with the New York Post published Monday.
Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier told Newsmax that the US-Israeli war on Iran had achieved more than half its aims, but would not give a timeline on when it would end.
He said the war is “definitely beyond the halfway point. But I don’t want to put a schedule on it,” adding that he believed Iran’s Islamic republic will eventually “collapse internally”, AFP reports.

With attacks on the two biggest aluminium smelters in the Middle East over the weekend, Iran struck at major suppliers to the United States of a strategic metal the world's biggest economy does not produce nearly enough of domestically, analysts said.

The European and African oil market is showing more signs of tightness with some crude differentials hitting record highs as peak summer demand nears and Asia seeks supplies to fill shortages caused by Iran's blocking of the Strait of Hormuz, now into its fifth week.
The Iran war has forced the shutdown of at least 10 million barrels per day of oil from the Middle East due to Iran's effective closure of the strait, and attacks on Iranian and other Middle East Gulf nations' energy infrastructure.
That production volume represents at least 10% of daily global oil consumption. Asia has been most affected by oil and gas disruptions, as it is the world's largest oil-importing continent and relies on supplies from the Middle East.
