Hello! And welcome to 👁 Image kh_deepdive, a not-your-average Kingdom Hearts fan community dedicated to deep analysis and discussion of the moving and complex videogame series. Deep Dive is a haven for intelligent, thoughtful fans who want to discuss topics on a deep level: character motivations, character relationships, plot points, what if? scenarios... Anything you can think of! We are a generally open-minded community, so if you think your topic can be discussed here, it probably can. So if you've got some ideas about the game that all your friends think are crazy, unanswered questions, or are just curious, then come on and join! We're a fledging community, just getting off the ground, so anyone interested is entirely welcome!!
+ Spoilers will not require a warning!!! This is very important, considering most communities still employ the lj-cut rule. Here, it's almost intuitive that in-depth, specific incidents from all three games will be discussed, and it would just be redundant to place a spoiler warning before every single post. So if you don't want to be spoiled, go play the games and come back! :B
+ It is generally assumed that all members of this community, regardless of age, are mature enough to discuss subjects that would cause a movie or a fanfic, for example, to be rated R. There need not be any warnings that the content in a post or reply may be unsutable; when you join this community, you are agreeing to be subjected to this sort of talk. And you know what, I honestly don't care if you're 14. If you think you're mature enough, then whatever. Just don't try and get my community kicked off livejournal if you're offended XD
+ No flaming. Duh. This is a community in which people's opinions will undoubtedly clash, and often. If someone doesn't agree with you, or you don't like someone's opinion, you are definitely entitled to discuss it with them in a thoughtful, civilized manner--that's what this community is for! But, um, if what you consider a civilized reply is "ure stupid shut up," then you don't belong here. :)
+ Almost all topics are open for discussion here! If you're writing a fic and want to talk about it, go ahead. If you want to discuss a style of gameplay you've utilized, go ahead.
+ Here's a list of things that I am wary of being posted here, though may be open to if put in the right context: - Random fanart/fanfic postings. If you want to post art or fic, it should be because it has stirred a thought in you that you want to share, or a situation you want to discuss, not because oh lookit this cool fanart, aren't I talented? If you are looking for a fanart community, you can search out 👁 Image khxart; a fanfic community, 👁 Image kh_drabble. -Icon posts. They are just not accepted here, unless they are related to a discussion we've been having. If you're looking for an icon community, search out 👁 Image kh_icons. -Gameplay questions, like "How do I get Final Form?" or "How did you guys beat Saix?" I'm not sure of the community name for questions like that, but there is one out there... If you want to discuss things that are gameplay-related, though--for example, Saix's fighting style as it relates to his character--you can go ahead and do that. -Advertisements for RPG's and other communities used to be allowed, but because they began to flood the members' friends pages, ARE NOW BANNED unless they strictly concur with a current or upcoming discussion thread...for some unknown reason.
Other than that, almost anything is acceptable here. Use your good judgment. You guys aren't retards XD
+ The Number One Rule: HAVE FUN! :) I created this group because I wanted to share my ideas about the game with others, and hear about theirs. So don't get upset if an opinion of yours isn't well-received, or a discussion upsets you on a fangirlish level. It's all about the fun, baby. No sweat.
+ Anyone can start a thread in this community. You don't have to wait for the mod to do it. + Discussion will be carried out in comments, but if a new, mostly unrelated discussion starts up, it might be a good idea for someone to start a new post and link back to the discussion. Just to keep things tidy around here. I'm going to try and stay on top of that, but if you think a new post is needed, you can go ahead and make it, especially if the new topic is of interest to you :) + Every week, I am going to try and make a summary post detailing the past week's discussion, just to keep everyone abreast. I'll also (try to ^^;;;; ) be updating the memories section weekly, so that if there is an idea you'd like to refer back to later, you can do it easily.
