Better suited for MCW:ANB

When logging in on a new device, all of your data is restored (including fixed width toggle) except for the theme setting i.e. light or dark mode, which you had set in your previous login. This has been happening for a long time. - πŸ‘ Image

I'm a little confused. Are you trying to report a bug related to the wiki? The Admin noticeboard might be a better place for that. Unless we're supposed to be debating whether or not to reset preferences when logging in to a new device. If that's the case, then I guess I πŸ‘ Image
Oppose resetting preferences as that seems rather annoying. Rampage455 (talk) 17:54, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
I think Weird Gloop had a fix to this (width not being saved and therefore giving logged out users a FOUC) but it was complicated by the fact that Spanish wiki uses thin width by default. I guess it’s just been on the back-burner forever. - Harristic / Talk πŸ‘ Image

We could change our starting width on the Spanish wiki, I didn't know it was fixed by default actually, so I would say that it depends more on WG to talk with us about that proposal. But the stuff being mentioned here is about the light and dark theme preferences not being saved when logging in from another device, unlike fixed width. -- Supeika (talk) 18:05, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
