Featured articles are articles that get promoted on the wiki's main page and represent the best articles on the wiki.
The featured articles for each main page rotate at the start of each month (UTC).
Next rotation: (in )
For an article to be featured, it should generally follow the next requirements:
These requirements are more lax for articles featured on the spin-off portals due to the much smaller number of articles in those namespaces.
There are no restrictions on the topic of an article except it must be in a content namespace. This also means that spin-off articles may also be featured for the main game's main page, but this is only done sparingly and the article should be relevant to the main game.
To nominate an article, you should provide a summary of the article (around 70–90 words) and an image, when possible. For blocks, items and entities, it is highly recommended that an in-game screenshot be provided instead of a sprite/render. The nomination template can be used to create a nomination.
Nominated articles will be discussed on the nominations subpage of the talk page. Sometimes featuring an article might be time-relevant, so you can also explain why an article should be featured on the specific week. If an article does not follow the requirements, or has other issues, users are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions to improve it.
Administrators will review the nominated articles and the discussion on the talk page. They will select the featured article based on the following criteria:
After a page is selected, {{Featured}} should be added under the navbox and its entry page (e.g. Minecraft Wiki:Featured articles/Minecraft/2025/10) will be put in the featured article queue where editors are welcome to refine the summary. The summary page for the current featured article will be fully protected so please use the talk page for edit requests.
