Since Beetroot isn't being released in PC, (as far as we know), I was wondering how I might get it in my 1.8.1 version PC world. I created the world in 1.8, and am about to update to 1.8.1. Hopefully my edit won't be just rolled back (keeps happening). I've clarified the planting process a little more as vague and easy to mistake beetroot behaviour with carrot and potatoes. Regarding PC in the above comment it is now possible to obtain beetroot normally via villages or dungeons. I got mine via the latter.--Egrphj (talk) 08:06, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

It says in this article, under Beetroot#Breeding, that "Villagers can pick up beetroot items to become willing, which will allow them to breed. Villagers require 12 beetroots to become willing.", followed by "A current bug prevents villagers from becoming willing with Beetroots." Sealsbudsmen (talk • contribs • logs • block log) added the first part this edit, while the second part was added by an IP address in this edit.

The above sentence as-is has many problems with it. Is there a bug in the current version? Java/bedrock? Is the bug intentional behavior?

Villagers not breeding with beetroots is a (not intentional) bug in Java edition, though I'm not sure if this also occurs in Bedrock. -Sonicwave ^talk 23:10, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

I've went to each of the crop pages to figure out which one would be best for feeding villagers, but this and the beetroot seed page don't note how many can drop per crop. This should be written somewhere, I'll probably add it if I remember
