"Donkey's speed is always 0.175 <<..>> A donkey's maximum speed is 14.5125 blocks/second" What does it mean?
Perhaps it’s their swim speed? TBFTE123 (talk) 21:23, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
when read carefully the article specifies that a naturally generated Donkey (or spawned Donkey) will always have certain stats. by breeding Donkeys together you combine the stats of both parent donkeys as well as a third stat (randomly generated from within the parameters of Donkey/ Horse stats) after averaging these three it is unlikely for a donkey to have one or all of the base stats (speed or jump strength) this means by breeding Donkey's you are able to attain notably better (or if you are unlucky, worse) stats, but more importantly stats that fall outside of the naturally generated livestock. --ArtasTL (talk) 18:18, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
Article says that all non-bred donkeys have a speed stat (this is the value of the movement_speed attribute) of .175, but that they "move at a reduced speed of 7.38 m/s" (a horse's movement speed with a .175 speed stat is 7.56 m/s) but on testing, non-bred donkeys with a speed of .175 in 26.1.2 move at the same 7.56 m/s horses do. (unless for some bizarre reason the betterF3 mod messes with that, but I cannot see why it would, and I also don't have another practical way to precisely measure donkey/horse speed) I'm not sure how this would have been implemented to be different for donkeys or when it would have changed, especially given the way Attribute#Speed appears to work. -- Neverlix | he/him | (talk) | 00:01, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
