Adding the Illusioner and Giant

Hey, I've managed to use external tools to summon the Illusioner and Giant in Minecraft LCE. For the Illusioner, summon a mob (e.g. Vindicator), change the mob to "minecraft:illusion_illager" and it's in-game. It's able to shoot a bow, but the arms start acting funny. also, the summoning clones / becoming invisible parts work as well.

I also managed to summon the Giant, although the texture is super broken.

If you want proof, I'll show it later RealHeyItzDark (talk) 16:18, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

iirc, the giant in legacy also has a blank name and attacks players.
I've wondered why it wasn't on the wiki for a while, I think its appearance changes with texture packs as well zippee100 (talk) 16:22, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
the giant has no AI; and uses the arrow texture instead of the zombie one. so it does technically change appearance in packs but it's not intended. πŸ‘ Image

yeah, I know it's unintended
didn't know it used the arrow texture, couldn't tell what it was zippee100 (talk) 15:45, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
yeah I figured that, I just wanted to clear that up for anyone reading this page in the future. <3 πŸ‘ Image

was the texture file for the arrow the same as the java arrow texture at the time? zippee100 (talk) 16:12, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Yes. arrow texture is exactly the same as it's always been in LCE, which is from Java's 0.25 Survival Test. I don't know when exactly the Giant started using this texture, but it did previously use the zombie texture as intended. πŸ‘ Image

Right. Do you have a screenshot of this ingame for making an accurate render? not sure how legacy console would handle the width of the texture being different zippee100 (talk) 06:17, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
I have screenshots of the Giant and Illusioner in-game. How should I send them to you? RealHeyItzDark (talk) 17:45, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
You could just post them here, or use a file-sharing site (no imgur) or discord or something. zippee100 (talk) 17:58, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

to accurately remake this; get a classic (64x32) humanoid model, set the texture to an arrow texture, and you should end up with this. This is exactly how it looks in later versions of LCE πŸ‘ Image

oh oops, I've never inserted images before, I didn't mean it to end up over there lol πŸ‘ Image

Oh, I actually got to this point a few minutes ago, just figuring out how to get the scaling for the render right zippee100 (talk) 00:01, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
coming in to amend this statement. Giants HAD AI but had it removed at some point later in the game's life. When it had AI, the texture was also correctly set to a normal Zombie. I can look at this more in depth later tonight. πŸ‘ Image

funnily enough, i was just playing with this. as of TU12, the Giant had a functional AI (but didn’t attack the player, just followed them) + the correct textures. i haven’t gone further to see when it broke, however. RealHeyItzDark (talk) 12:01, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
Mmm interesting because I found a video of Giants on Xbox One Edition from launch (Equivalent TU17/TU18) and it had the ability to hurt the player. I'm unsure if this is a unique thing to the "Next Gen Versions" for lack of a better term since they did have extremely minor differences. https://youtu.be/3hh66Ayike0 πŸ‘ Image

Hm. I’ll try to recreate this on Xbox 360 Edition. RealHeyItzDark (talk) 16:54, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
Update: Just tried this in TU17 on the 360, and it worked. The Giant one-hit killed me RealHeyItzDark (talk) 17:09, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
I think I managed to summon the Giant on TU71, and it was invisible with a random texture on it (no clue what it was meant to be), but it had hitboxes and hit sounds. It's shown to be in LCE on the actual Giant and Illusioner pages, just not on here for some reason RealHeyItzDark (talk) 16:24, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
To add on to that, I'm pretty sure that the Command Blocks were actually removed from later versions of LCE, as I've tried to acquire them in TU71, but nothing appears in the inventory. RealHeyItzDark (talk) 16:26, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Command blocks, Repeating command blocks, and Chain command blocks are still in the game as of TU75 as obtainable blocks; they were never removed. Giants use the arrow texture but retain the Zombie model. πŸ‘ Image
