This template is used to mark pages or sections that are undergoing large edits, and prevent people from making edits as potential edit conflicts can start and lead to general confusion or edit warring, due to their attempts to improve the page trying to do a good faith act. When the process of editing stops, do the following:
- If there is no need to edit more, remove the template.
- If there is no need to edit more, and the page is very short, replace the template with
{{stub}}.
- If there is need to edit more, but don't have time or need people who know more about it, replace the template with
{{work in progress}}.
