If you want to use this template in your custom signature (which you can set in your preferences), use Template:Global signature instead, since it works across all wikis.

Usage

This template displays a user's custom signature from their user signature subpage.

The template must always be used in the form {{sig|[[User:Username]]}}. It then displays the contents of the page at User:Username/sig.

For admins

This template may be localized per-wiki (e.g. using a different subpage name than /sig) and can be moved to a different name, as long as Template:Global signature is updated accordingly.

It is important that a usage of this template includes a direct link to the user page, to ensure that the signature is properly recognized as a signature by MediaWiki.
