Template talk:Cleanup

I propose on making a second parameter to this template, where the user applying this template can specify why the page needs cleanup. The reason for this is that needing cleanup can mean a variety of things: better organization, correcting information, fix spelling, fix grammar, give the article a more formal tone, use correct capitalization, etc.--Madminecrafter12^{Talk • Contributions} 16:54, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

I've already made how the new template would be in my user space (See User:Madminecrafter12/sandbox - you can see the changes I made when you look at the source for the page), and in User:Madminecrafter12/sandbox 2, you can see a demonstration of how the new cleanup template would be; the first one demonstrating the new template with the second parameter not specified, and the second with it specified. I think if I get one more support for this addition, I will add it; otherwise, I will probably wait a few days and if there are no objections during those days, I will then add it.--Madminecrafter12^{Talk • Contributions} 20:27, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

Recently Fadyblok has been adding a new category to this template. I don't see it being useful as Category:Cleanup and Category:Article cleanup already work really well. Aditional specific categories would just split the pages into more groups when we don't need to do that. Do you agree with his changes? Supeika (talk) 19:46, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

we dont protect pages just because one person vandalized them. Only when its a large number of different people 👁 Image
