Name

I believe the name should be changed to Editions of Minecraft, as the template has more than just the versions of the game, such as exclusive features to Editions, mentioned features, Easter eggs and more. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Wolffillms (talkcontribs) at 18:41, 28 July 2015 (UTC). Why? We already have a template for the Pocket Edition and the Console Edition to describe that stuff, adding it here as well is redundant. Meanwhile, the version history articles were all in a large related section on {{minecraft}} (and was the previous function of this template), so it made sense to split them out here. I think we should call it "Development", as that is used in many other navboxes for similar purposes LeftQuadrilateral (talk) 00:48, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Adding Major updates section

I think we should have the major updates thing for named updates in the template like we did about 2 years ago, it looked pretty cool. Pocket Edition could have the Survival Update branch in it. --MarioProtIV (talk) 20:32, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

It was moved from {{Minecraft}} to {{Computer versions}} and {{Pocket Edition versions}} by Goandgoo. Adding it back would simply be redundant to those two version navboxes (where it belongs) and not fit the theme of this template (which is the version history hub articles). Changing PE exclusive features sprite

[edit source]
Latest comment: 30 July 20152 comments2 people in discussion

This is just my opinion but here are a few suggestions for a new sprite for the PE exclusive features:

Thanks. --MarioProtIV (talk) 00:50, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Of these, the Nether Reactor Core is the only feature that is PE-exclusive in and of itself; the other suggestions all require familiarity with the feature in question in PE and in other editions to understand why that sprite is being used. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:24, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Soon change sprite

The sprite for the console edition exclusive features page, 👁 Image
needs to be changed because 1.9 is adding Ender Acid Charges. A few ideas:

  1. 👁 AchievementSprite zombie-doctor.png: Sprite image for zombie-doctor in Minecraft
Zombie Doctor Achievment Icon (Exclusive achievement. [Could be any other exclusive achievement icon.])
  2. 👁 ItemSprite map.png: Sprite image for map in Minecraft
    Map
    (Beginning worlds with a map.)
  3. 👁 ItemSprite cake.png: Sprite image for cake in Minecraft
    Cake
    (Stackable to 64.)
  4. 👁 ItemSprite glowstone-dust.png: Sprite image for glowstone-dust in Minecraft
    Glowstone Dust
    (Blazes drop 0-2.)
  5. 👁 Image
    Horse Spawn Egg
    (Donkey/Mule Spawn Eggs.)

That's all I could think of, if none are acceptable, still please change it. -|Pika Party|- 98.216.47.99 17:34, 22 September 2015 (UTC)

Actually, 1.9 has no ender acid fire charges. It has ender acid as particles, and fire charges like ghasts use, but that purple texture does not exist in game. KnightMiner t/c 21:39, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
Aah, I see. Sorry, my misunderstandings. -|Pika Party|- 98.216.47.99 16:17, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
Unless I'm misunderstanding as well (having not played Console Edition), that texture does appear in the latest 1.9 snapshot for PC: /summon DragonFireball ~ ~1 ~ {direction:[0.0,0.0,0.0]} Skylinerw (talk) 17:02, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
I did not notice that... They must have changed it since the time I last checked, likely at the same time they made dragon fireballs not able to be deflected by a punch. KnightMiner t/c 17:04, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
On the topic of which icon to use, most of the icons you linked are something that also exist in the computer edition, which would become confusing as an icon does not state an aspect. The remaining one is the achievement icon(s), which look terrible at 18 pixels.
The best option I can think of would be someone uploading the donkey or mule spawn egg icon and using that (assuming it is different), or using the horse spawn egg if they are the same (but the texture should be pulled from a sprite sheet rather than using a grid image). Hmm... so I wasn't misunderstanding... well, I have no more ideas, so if you guys think of something please write it here. -|Pika Party|- 98.216.47.99 17:32, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
