The two way elevator in no way works on mp, not only do you fall through going up but it stops half way everytime going up & down. There wiring is perfect. A direct copy of the OPs elevator from his video fails the same way in MP. Is there a fix to this?
I removed the second video for piston doors because the video was set to private. Old link was
So I decided to test eh "flashing light indicator" mechanism and found that it didn't work. Could anyone else confirm whether or not it works for them? We wouldn't want a broken mechanism on the page :\
My brother said when he launches a boat from his cannon it will drop multiple sticks and pieces of wood (way more than normal). Can someone confirm this? Matti-Koopa 14:53, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
Is it just me or have they changed TNT so that it is not swept away by water thus making canons much harder to create? Zinob 19:03, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
I feel that pictures of the mechanisms and how they work would be extremely helpful to anyone first learning about these --Magitrek 15:02, 13 December 2010 (CST)
Mentioned light sensors and gave a link. Needs to be explained more thoroughly. Maybe mention light sensors on flower and mushroom wiki pages? Bumber 03:32, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
A non villager light sensor should be on the page, like on of these Adi Tetac 14:14, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
Should the retractable staircase shown in the piston demo be included? -[user:kingleonidas1234] 6:45 (MT)
I think we should remove everything concerning mod pistons. Agree? | TheKax | Talk 10:27, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
I made a Snow Generator but the snowman auto-dies. I have a jungle biome. Any reason why? - Dudebot121256
Say we used The And Gate to make a torch that flickers on/off when more than 5 pressure plates are pressed? would that be useful? Or do minecrafters not sleep at night?
As seen in this video, a piston tape is used to transport items vertically and then drop them into a water stream. However, due to the piston timing changes that came with 1.3, the design is now broken. From my experimenting in my test world, I've been able to get items to be transported upwards, but they get stuck where they would get pushed sideways at the top and fall into the water stream.
I wish I could give more details of the problem I'm having, but I'm not entirely certain what's causing it. I also think my current, haphazardly constructed, piston tape will need to be completely redesigned to get it to work.

If someone could lend me a hand in troubleshooting it, I would greatly appreciate it. Inquisitribble 12:27, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Many diagrams are created with typed symbols, such as: "~ = wire, O= solid block..." etc. These should be replaced with pictures, screenshots, or Redstone schematics. 198.228.201.153 01:24, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Does anyone agree there are perhaps a tad too many videos on this page? I'm just scrolling through on my laptop and this page takes considerably longer than any other wiki page I've visited. I understand a few to express ways of going about building the mechanisms discussed in the article, but not for EVERY subject. I count 50 videos! Gosh, can't we just have a pretty, compact list of the things that are hyperlinked to the Youtube pages? Pretty please? --Keithicus420 08:28, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
I wanted to add a massive cannon that I created of which I had to allocate 4GB of RAM to prevent me from crashing and that could send the player up to layer 7550, but I never got around to. Is telling others the components better than a step-by-step tutorial? 174.114.8.167 00:04, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Which videos are the least useful to everyone? I would like a consensus of what isn't useful so I can remove some of the videos. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Rcmaehl (talk • contribs) at 01:10, 6 April 2013 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
While I'm not currently reviewing the tutorial videos, can I suggest that some of them might usefully be replaced by Schematics? Writing them up is pretty easy, I transcribed a few videos while doing the Redstone Circuits pages. One warning: if you get a lot of schematics, or big ones, you'll want to move them to (and perhaps split them among) subpages, for the sake of loading time and safe editing. --Mental Mouse 14:54, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
The pictures in the Launcher Pads section need croping so they can be seen easier. --Cats 55 04:23, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
I know another X-ray glitch, but it doesn't use redstone. Do I still put it here, or do I put it on a different page? If so, which?
The Mob yo-yo section does not have anything to do with redstone or restone comonents, rails, etc., therefore it should be removed. Impossybull (talk) 15:16, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
IS IT COOL! (remove it!)
Remove it. However, it does make a novelty technique for keeping mobs from despawning. 108.216.30.138 23:13, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Here're types of circuits, but no types of mechanisms. My variation: Door Mechanisms, Sensor Mechanisms, Switch Mechanisms, Elevation Mechanism, Other Mechanisms. 58.35.196.73 12:36, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
It's an awful design. You could make it always daytime by just changing the gamerule for daylightCycle to false, or alternatively using a daylight sensor and a redstone torch to invert it to trigger the command block rather than a villager egg dispenser. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 50.39.119.244 (talk) at 6:43, 15 April 2019 (UTC). The page has become a total mess. Many builds on the page should either be split into their own tutorials or incorporated into the existing tutorials on redstone. Any thoughts?--Fadyblok240 (talk) 05:38, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
A while back, a bunch of these entries had proper diagrams and everything. Now it's all just annoying video tutorials. There's nothing for someone who just wants to grab a design on the fly and build it without having to go through a long, drawn-out step-by-step tutorial. --142.196.189.39 03:39, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
