Has this been fixed in 1.3.1? I've made it and nothing seems to happen.

The socond part of Sep 4 won't work, since water hurts the snow golem and eventually kills it. Additionally only shovels create snowballs. Water only destroys it. --77.11.67.151 14:02, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

I've found snowballs in snowy biomes that were created by a stream. Water is good for harvesting (or just removing) the snow cover that falls when it snows. 00:30, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
